Presentation

Every year in October, the museum offers a weekend of opportunities for craftsmen, archers, collectors, and visitors to discuss traditional bow and arrow making. Enthusiasts from all over Europe welcome visitors.

Bow and arrow makers, what's that?
Bow and arrow makers are artisans who use highly precise design techniques to create true works of art. With extensive knowledge of wood species, they manually combine the various elements needed to craft their bows and arrows to best suit the client's wishes and physical abilities. Size, power, shape, ergonomics, and materials are thus fully customizable, making their creations unique.

A theme dear to the museum:
The museum's goal is to make this technical and heritage expertise known to as many people as possible. While a section of the permanent exhibition is already dedicated to the creations of renowned bow and arrow makers, the Forum allows everyone to interact with the artisans who bring this living heritage to life.

In practice (Sainte-Agathe Park):
In addition to meetings with exhibitors, young and old alike have the opportunity at the Forum to attend demonstrations and learn instinctive archery.
Discover the artisanal skills involved in making bows and arrows. Archery-themed activities.

For the occasion, access to the museum's collections is also free on both days.
