There is something of the Coen brothers in this story, somewhere between a thriller and poetry: it is not the crime that fascinates, but the characters surrounding it, funny, fragile, profoundly human.
Through the inventiveness of his object theatre, storyteller Gildwen Peronno brings these miniature characters to life, recreating an entire village in just a few gestures. Each scene is a moving tableau, alternating between intimate close-ups and panoramic views of hazy memories.
Between reconstructed pasts and comical scenes, the investigation then transforms into a sensitive and absurd journey.
