Presentation

From Plessis-Belleville station, head to Montagny and its Renaissance bell tower before entering the Ermenonville forest, surprising for its reliefs, its sands and its pines.

After the heathlands of Frais-Vent, the trail leads to the Chaalis estate: abbey ruins, the Jacquemart-André Museum, a rose garden, and a park designated a "Remarkable Garden." Further on, the Sorceress's Stone offers a beautiful view of the tree canopy. The village of Ermenonville, its castle, and the Jean-Jacques Rousseau Park are also worth a visit.

The route continues along the Old Road to Meaux, the Sea of Sand, then the cobbled Prince's Road, a nod to Paris-Roubaix. At Thiers-sur-Thève, the castle ruins mark the exit from the forest. The route then reaches Pontarmé, the Chantilly Forest, and the peaceful Commelles ponds, overlooked by the White Queen's castle.

The stage ends at Orry-la-Ville – Coye station, in the heart of the Chantilly massif. This stage of the Tour de l'Oise gravel can be ridden independently, from one station to the other.
