On September 19, 20, and 21, we invite you to the heart of the Pays de Valois to discover the local, sometimes secret, heritage that makes our region so rich. Guided tours, exhibitions, nighttime walks, concerts, period reproductions: there are plenty of events not to be missed!

Come and rediscover the priory of Autheuil-en-Valois, without scaffolding, exceptionally open for the occasion.

Numerous activities will also be offered on site, organized by the association Friends of the Priory of Notre-Dame d'Auteuil-en-Valois : guided tour, creation of a fresco, exhibition on the construction site, sound proposal, etc.

The town of Crépy-en-Valois hosts numerous activities and events during the European Heritage Days:

Discover the Puits à Daubin quarry and the underground stone extraction techniques thanks to theRocks and Quarries Association.

Take a stroll through the village of Ermenonville and discover its history by placing old postcards in current locations, accompanied by a historical text.

Also discover the history of the Ermenonville Washhouse or attend the conferences offered around its church.

On the program for Saturday, September 20: a stroll among ephemeral artistic installations along the wash houses of the Ourcq Valley. The route will pass through Crouy-sur-Ourcq, Beauval, Neufchelles, Mareuil-sur-Ourcq/Fulaines, Marolles and Précy-à-Mont.

Departing from the Hameau du four d'En-Haut, set off by horse-drawn carriage to discover street exhibitions on medieval art and 15th-century forest fauna.

Concerts are also offered with the Valois orchestras and the Harmonie du Valois.

In the heart of the Gallo-Roman ruins of Champlieu, come and discover numerous activities all weekend long:

  • Guided tours and hikes
  • Reproduction of a Gallic camp and demonstrations
  • Demonstrations of Roman soldier maneuvers
  • Gladiator fights
  • Activities around prehistory

Activities are also offered in the heart of the Saint-Rémi Church with a guided tour and workshops around the stained glass windows.

Visit the Manoir du Plessis au Bois to discover the seven exceptional gardens that make up this residence, as well as the studio of artist and sculptor Diane de Longuemar, which will be open for the occasion. Activities will also be offered on site to teach you more about the architectural heritage of the Pays de Valois.
