It rises near Villers-Cotterêts and joins the Oise upstream of Verberie. The unique feature of the Vallée de l'Automne remains the presence of numerous churches, called the 35 bell towers. These contribute to the charm of the landscape. Most of them were built during the XNUMXth century.e century. A religious heritage which is complemented by a natural heritage rich in the many plant and animal species that reside there.

Just sixty kilometers from Paris, the Vallée de l'Automne boasts exceptional natural resources. Of the 1250 plant species listed in Picardy, 750 grow in the Vallée de l'Automne, 16 of which are legally protected.
